A Spanish Girl in Glasgow
Yeah, I know what you are going to say: there are many, many Spanish girls in Glasgow! And you are right, there are (maybe even more than you would imagine!) and I may just be one of them. One with a heart made of sugar and the soul of a writer.
I came to Scotland in 2016 and I still haven’t regretted it. I first lived in Aberdeenshire, in the country side, in front of a flock of sheep and surrounded by spiders. I soon moved to Glasgow, though, and after a year in hospitality I found a DREAM JOB in digital marketing. Which is what I spend 35 hours a week doing now, something that doesn’t bother me as I find it amazingly fun!
When I’m not working I enjoying trying to bake, spending time with my furry cat – he doesn’t like me as much as I love him -, going to the cinema, studying or trying to come up with the best idea for a new best seller. A girl can dream, right?
What Is Sofia’s Pencil?
Sofia’s Pencil is my site. A blog where I can unleash my creativity without needing to worry about perfection. It’s a place to share everything that matters to me (from self care to global warming), all that I know (not too much, to be honest) and all that I research and learn.
I have always wanted to write a blog and something has been keeping me off of it. Sofia’s Pencil is my “revenge” against fear and procrastination. A project that is intended to last for longer than expected. This is how it works:
- We have posts about several topics, from health related topics to decoration tips and recipes. Pretty much, anything that I find interesting and want to share with the world!
- We have Challenges! This is how I intend to better myself, through monthly challenges that somehow reflect the worries and difficulties we as millennials (and everybody who came before us, probably!) find in our way to adulthood. There will be an introduction, several posts on the matter and a conclusion at the end of the month.
- We have travel posts. Travel related questions are some of the most searched online. And since I consider myself a (good) citizen of the world, I think I could also do my bit in helping the online community with my own opinions and recommendations.
So what are you waiting for? Subscribe now to get my latest posts as soon as they come out of the oven!
